What we do not provide

We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, or to leave any employer or public retirement plan. Decisions about a retirement account should be made with your own tax and legal advisers.

Rollovers and annuities

A qualified rollover from a 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), or IRA is tax-deferred, not tax-free. Annuities carry limitations, including surrender periods, limits on liquidity, and caps or participation rates on indexed strategies. Every page that describes an annuity also describes its limitations.

Public retirement systems

We are not affiliated with CalPERS, CalSTRS, or the County of Monterey. Defined-benefit pensions generally cannot be rolled over the way a 403(b) or 457(b) can; we verify plan mechanics against the plan's own documents and link to them.

Calculators and illustrations

Every calculator on this site produces a hypothetical illustration based on assumed rates. It is not a quote and not a guarantee, and actual carrier rates vary daily.

Under California Insurance Code §789.10, we provide written notice at least 24 hours before any in-home appointment with a senior.
