Next Wave Options is an independent life insurance and retirement income agency owned by Roberto Morales, licensed by the California Department of Insurance, license #0G97165. This policy covers this website and the information we receive when you contact us through it. As an insurance agency we are also a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and we are subject to the California Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act, California Insurance Code sections 791 and following.
Browsing this site sets no cookies. There are no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no third-party scripts of any kind on these pages. The only outside request a page makes is to Google Fonts for the typefaces it displays.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type, which is how any web server works. We use those logs to keep the site running and secure. We do not try to identify you from them.
Every calculator on this site runs entirely inside your browser. The figures you type — your income, your debts, your account balances — are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and nothing is stored in your browser after you close the page. We cannot see what you entered. That is why the calculators show a result without asking for an email address.
If you fill in a form, book a call, or telephone us, we collect what you give us: your name, your phone number, your email address if you provide one, and whatever you tell us about your situation. Our contact and scheduling forms are processed by GoHighLevel, which stores that information on our behalf so we can reply to you.
We use it to answer your question, prepare quotes, and place coverage if you decide to move forward. We do not use it for anything else.
An application for life insurance asks for more than a website does, including date of birth, Social Security number, and health history. That information is collected on the carrier's application, not on this site, and it goes to the carriers we submit your application to. Carriers may also obtain information from a consumer reporting agency, a prescription history database, or the MIB Group as part of underwriting. Each carrier's own privacy notice governs what it does with your information once it has it, and you receive that notice with your application.
We share your information with insurance carriers, and with the general agencies through which we submit business to those carriers, for the purpose of getting you quotes and placing coverage. We share it when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or a Department of Insurance examination.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not rent or trade contact lists. We have never done so.
When you give us your phone number you are asking us to contact you about insurance and retirement questions. We call and text about your inquiry and your coverage. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, and tell us on any call that you would rather not be contacted and we will note it and stop. Standard message and data rates apply. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything from us.
Under California Insurance Code section 791.08 you may ask us, in writing, what recorded personal information we hold about you and where we got it. We will respond within 30 business days. Under section 791.09 you may ask us to correct, amend, or delete anything you believe is wrong, and if we disagree you may file a statement of dispute that we must include whenever we disclose that information.
Personal information we collect and process in order to provide an insurance product is generally exempt from the CCPA because the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act already governs it. For any information the CCPA does cover, you may ask what we have collected about you, ask us to delete it, and ask us to correct it, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Since we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing here to opt out of.
Call us at (831) 821-1510 and say what you want. We will confirm who you are before we act on a request about your information, which usually means confirming details we already hold. You may use an authorized agent, and we will ask for proof of that authority.
We keep client records for as long as you have coverage placed through us and afterwards for the period California insurance regulations require. If you contacted us but never became a client, tell us and we will delete your inquiry.
This site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to client information is limited to Roberto Morales. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we do not keep information we have no reason to hold.
This site is meant for adults making decisions about insurance and retirement. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. A parent applying for coverage on a child's behalf provides that child's information through the carrier's application, not through this site.

If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and update the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we use information we already hold will be communicated to affected clients directly.
